We're Here

27 hours after leaving home, we were met at Cape Town airport by Mike, Nic and Patrick and warmth!

When we landed at Jo'burg in the morning it was 14° C and it is mid summer!! We had been bumped off our flight to Cape Town and had a 6 hour delay so Ed's friend Jannie sent his driver to collect us and take us back to his home for a wash and lunch. I had a snooze whilst Ed spent his time looking at Jannie's cars.

Last night Mike & Nic did a fish braai for supper and Pat joined us.

Mike and his team have been working flat out to get websites live before Christmas.

Ed has gone for a run yesterday and today along the beach - in training for racing at the end of Jan. This afternoon Nic and I took a picturesque drive along the coast to Hout Bay to buy some scrapbooking supplies to take with us to Wilderness.

We are all going up on Sunday morning early to meet up with Ed's mom, sister & brother-in-law, their children and grandchildren and my brothers, sisters-in-law and their families. Should be fantastic. We have hired a house in Wilderness for the four of us.

Hi Lesley

We've been gone and back already ;-)
Where we were the day temperature was minus 1, I envy you. Here it is now around 5 - 7 degrees, a bit better.

Have the best of times, wish everyone a merry Christmas from Ton and me and see you next year!

I am so happy for all of you. Have a wonderful time over the holidays. Don't forget our smoked salmon and Black Velvet tradition. I'll be thinking of you.

With love from your friend,

Rose
